Practice Management

The Guywood Team - our Practice runs on the joint ethos of friendliness combined with professional excellence.  Your first point of contact here may well be with our reception team: Caroline, Gaynor, Helen and Liz. Each of them will always 'go the distance' in trying to assist patients in obtaining the services they need. Not only that, they do it with a friendly face - no matter how busy things can become. All of our reception team live locally and have a stake in their community, in which patients are treated as our friends.

Mrs Ann Fernie (f)

Our Practice Manager is Ann Fernie.  She handles the day to day running of the practice and keeps all the staff in order!  She deals with a wide range of often complex issues - including hospital referrals, child immunizations, practice admin, complaints and compliments.  If you have any issues she can be contacted on the surgery number or via e-mail via the website which is

Ann has 2 grown up children, 4 grandchildren.  She also has 1 beloved dog and loves a Malibu!


Ms Heather Jennings (f)

Heather has recently joined the practice and covers reception & administration duties. 

She lives locally with her 2 daughters

Mrs Helen Waddington (f)

Helen as well as being a receptionist is also the main contact for any insurance claims, forms, disability living allowances & life insurance.

She lives locally with her husband & 2 grown up children

Mrs Liz Hiddleston (f)

Liz's main role is prescriptions and is also our  medicines management coordinator (making sure money does not get wasted).

Liz lives locally with her husband and has 2 grown up children.

Miss Georgia Hodgekiess (f)

Georgia came to us under the apprentice scheme and is now working as part of the team.  She is hoping to become a phlebotomist.

Georgia lives locally.

Miss Nancy Piggott (f)

Nancy works on reception and covers processing prescriptions when Liz on holiday.

She previously lived in Cyprus for 15 years and has a beloved dog called Bess
