Practice Management

The Guywood Team - Our practice runs on the joint ethos of friendliness, combined with professional excellence. Your first point of contact here, may well be with one of our reception team; Helen, Liz, Nancy, Georgia, Rhiannon or Jackson. Each of them will always go above and beyond to assist our patients in obtaining the services they need.

Laura Marks (f)

Practice Manager 

Laura has recently joined the practice as Practice Manager. Her role involves managing the smooth running of the practice, ensuring that we are providing excellent clinical service for all our patients, whilst supporting the ongoing development of the practice.

Laura joined the NHS in 2003 and after undertaking a variety of administrative and clinical roles she then became a Practice Manager in 2015.


Ann (f)

Assistant Practice Manager 

Ann has worked here at The Guywood Practice for over 17 years. She has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of general practice and provides invaluable support to both the Clinical and administrative staff. One of her roles is to provide secretarial support for the GP’s which includes referrals to secondary care.


Helen (f)

As well as being a receptionist, Helen is also the main contact for any insurance claims, medical record requests and other such forms.

Liz (f)

Liz is our medicines management co-ordinator and prescription clerk. One of her roles is to keep an eye on prescribing costs. She also attends monthly meetings with the PBMC to ensure that we are up-to-date with prescribing policies.

Nancy (f)

Nancy is also our prescription clerk, she processes prescriptions in line with our current guidelines.

Georgia (f)

Georgia came to us under the apprentice scheme and is now working as part of the team. 

Rhiannon (f)

Rhiannon is one of our newer staff members and has taken on the role of workflow administrator.

Jackson (m)

Jackson is our newest team member and apprentice. He is currently training to become a medical receptionist/administrator.
